We are sad to announce the peaceful passing away of Hinson D
Steeves, age 88, April 5, 2013 at the Amherst Regional
Hospital.
Born in Salem, Albert County New Brunswick 1925, the fourth
son of Emery and Hilda (Milton) Steeves.
Hinson served in the Royal Canadian Navy as a gunner on the
Iroquois Destroyer patrolling the North Atlantic supply route to
England.
A life member of the Royal Canadian Legion, past President of
Hillsborough Branch 32, past Executive of Joggins Branch 4 and member
demit Howard Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his life partner Sharon Wood, her Daughter
Lisa Wood (Mike), her granddaughter Amanda, her grandson Terry and her
great-grandson Tyshon. Hinson's surviving family includes Enide
(Gerald) Wigmore, Norval (Sheila) Steeves, both of Albert Co New
Brunswick, only son Terry (Joan) of Florida, grandson Travis (Lisa) of
Washington DC, granddaughter Tasha (Richard) Jbeily of Woodbridge Ont
and three great-granddaughters and one grandson.
Respects and Eulogy readings will take place at the
Furlong-Jones Funeral Home, 70 Church St Amherst NS

M.

to a very informal visitation.
