Girvan Joseph White passed away at The Moncton Hospital, Sunday June 14, 2026 in loving company of family. 

Girvan was born in Joggins, Nova Scotia in 1938 to parents Henry and Adele (LeBlanc) White.

Girvan was a dedicated and loving husband, father and grandfather. 

He is survived by his wife Myrna (LeBlanc) with whom he was married for 64 years, also survived by sons Mark (Michelle), Micheal (Brenda), and Darren (Lori) and special grandchildren Shane, Carly, Stephanie, Ryan, Nicholas, Qiuntin, and Pierson. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Predeceased by siblings: Doris, Hazel, Weldon and Gordon.

Thank you for the care and compassion of the wonderful Doctors, Nurses, and staff of The Moncton Hospital palliative care unit for warm smiles, conversations, understanding and guidance.  A warm thank you to those from the community for your support and kindness shown to us at this time.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Jones Family Funeral Centre, 70 Church St, Amherst, NS.  As per Girvans request no service to be held at this time. Service and burial will be held in the fall.
