It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Theresa Matilda Boss, age 97, of Amherst, NS.  Theresa passed away peacefully at her residence on Monday, June 8, 2026.

Born in River Hebert, NS, Theresa was the daughter of the late Arthur and Permillia (Bourque) Burke. 

Theresa was a world traveler, visiting Australia, New Zealand, Europe, and several US states with her family.  She was a hard worker, enjoying her time at the 50 plus club and at the beach. 

Theresa will be dearly missed by her daughter Anne Boss, Amherst; grandchildren, Lisa, Craig and Larry, as well as great grandchildren Parker, Trystan and Ahrianna; sisters Josephine McEachern and Mary Christie; brother in law Harvey White; sister in law Linda Burke.

Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Derrald; son Roger (Betty); siblings Kenneth, Annie (Jack) Bourgeois, Kate (Havelock) Morris, Dena (Harold) Walker, Alice White and Stanley Burke and brother in law Avard Christie.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Jones Family Funeral Centre, 70 Church St., Amherst, NS where visitation will take place on Saturday, June 13th from 2pm to 4pm and Sunday 1pm until the time of the funeral at 2 pm, June 14, 2026, Rev. Ruth Gamble officiating.

Donations in memory of Theresa can be made to a charity of your choice.
