It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sharyn Elizabeth Allen, 77, of Amherst, NS, at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre on Tuesday, February 27, 2024.  

Born in Amherst, Sharyn was a daughter of the late Ivan and Geraldine (Crossman) Allen.

Sharyn was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved to babysit her grandchildren when they were younger.  She loved to knit and crochet, and also looked forward to the challenge of the NY Times Crossword Puzzle each Saturday...with a PEN!  She loved to follow her favourite soaps, go for drives and spend time in the garden as well as watching and feeding the birds.

She is survived by her son Stephen (Wanda Morey) Bainbridge, Baie Verte, NB; her daughter Sandra Lynn (Ronald) Cameron, Brookdale, 3 grandchildren Krysty Cameron, Moncton, Devin Cameron, Dartmouth, Corey Cameron, Brookdale; 2 great grandchildren Aiden and Rowan Cameron; her brother Stuart (Joanne) Allen, Duncan, BC; her sister Judy (Bill) Kelly, Dartmouth; as well as several nieces and nephews and very dear friends.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers Derek Allen and Roy Harkness.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Family Funeral Centre, 70 Church St., Amherst, NS (902-667-8777). Honoring Sharyn's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services at this time.
