It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Eleanor Christeen Bristol, age 60, of Amherst, NS. Surrounded by her loving family, Eleanor passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre.

Born in Shelburne, NS, she was a daughter of Sophie May of Amherst and the late Ray Hobbs.

Eleanor was a hard worker; she was selfless and always put others needs ahead of her own.  She loved her family above all else, and especially enjoyed time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her mother Sophie of Amherst, she will be dearly missed by her husband Michael, Amherst, daughter Naomi Gavin, Enfield, NS; grandchildren Laura Estabrooks and Bentley Davis; siblings Kevin (Lori), New Glasgow, and Dawn (Shane) Boudreau.

In addition to her father, she was predeceased by her in-laws Jack and Catherine Bristol.

Arrangements are under the care and supervision of the Jones Family Funeral Centre, 70 Church Street, Amherst, NS (902-667-8777).  Cremation has taken place.  At Eleanor's request there will be no service.
