Michael grew up in a small town of Wasaga Beach, Ontario. He later moved to Alberta where he began his career as a Correctional Officer. With Bonnie by his side, they traveled everywhere together. He often spoke about all the fun the two of them had going to different places across North America.
They eventually settled down to retire in Amherst, NS, where they got to watch their families grow. Family meant eveyrthing to Michael. Michael enjoyed spending time visiting his brother Robin, playing cards with family and playing a few rounds of golf. He loved spending time with his family.
