It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Leslie Sharon Childs, 79, of Amherst, NS.  Leslie passed away at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre on Monday, November 6, 2023.  

Leslie was born in Toronto, Ontario, she was a daughter of the late Hugh and Margaret (Ready) Pryce-Jones. An accidental teacher, Leslie continued on as a teacher for the rest of her life as she loved helping people grow.  She loved to travel and find new places.

She will be dearly missed by her husband Edward, Amherst; children, Jeremy, Ottawa, ON, Jason (Marla), Roleau, SK and Vanessa (Steven) Rolls, Sydney, NS; grandchildren Honoria Childs, Audrey Childs, and Owen Rolls, as well as by her many friends.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Family Funeral Centre, 70 Church St., Amherst, NS (902-667-8777) where an Afternoon of Remembrance will be held on Friday, November 10, 2023 from 2 to 4 pm with special words shared at 3:30 pm.
