It is with broken hearts that we regret to announce
the passing of our son Mason Timothy
Jones at the very young age of 24.
Mason passed as the result of a motorcycle accident in Toronto,
Ontario, on Sunday, May 28, 2023.
Born in Moncton, NB, Mason was a son of Weston
(Jill) Jones and Tracey (Jim Wry) Grenier.
Mason was an amazing fellow with a heart of gold who
loved everyone unconditionally. His relationship with his
mother and sister were as close as any could ever be.
Basketball was his sport, from shooting hoops for hours at the age of
3, to team sports growing up, and shooting hoops with friends in
Toronto, he enjoyed the game and the camaraderie. He loved
the outdoors, time at the camp, time spent on the 4-wheeler, or just
sitting by a stream with a line in the water. He was proud
of his accomplishments, and though he'd had his struggles over the
years as we all do, he had spent the last several years finding
himself, fixing himself, and working on becoming the best version of
himself. He lit up any room he was in, loved attention, and
his goofy personality left everyone in stitches. Our hearts
are broken.
In addition to his devastated parents, he will be
dearly and forever missed by his sister Emma Jones and her daughter,
the apple of Mason's eye, Averie, both in Sackville, as well as his
brother Gatlin in Fredericton; step brother Ben Rosswog of Sackville
and step sister Patricia Rosswog of Halifax. Mason also
leaves in grief his grandparents, David and Jane Jones, Sackville and
Ron and Kathy Grenier, Cocagne, NB; as well as several aunts, uncles,
cousins, and of course countless friends. Animals always
held a special place in his heart, and he loved his cats Keef and
Groot.
Arrangements have been entrusted
to Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge
Street, Sackville, NB (506-364-1300) where visiting hours will be held
from 4 pm until 8 pm on Sunday, June 4, 2023. A
funeral service from Jones Funeral Home will be held on Monday, June
5, 2023 at 3 pm where Mason's life will be celebrated with stories
from his friends his favorite music, and continued memories
shared. Burial
will follow in the Sackville Cemetery.
