It is with deep sadness we announce the unexpected passing of Mark Edward Gilroy, age 43, of Amherst. Mark passed away on Thursday March 30, 2023.

Born in Amherst, NS, he was a son of Mary Gilroy (nee Wood) and the late Gordon Gilroy.

Mark was a jack of all trades. He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone who needed help. He loved a good bonfire and a beer in his hand but above all else he loved spending time with his family.

Mark will be dearly missed by his wife of 21 years Mandy, mother Mary; son Wyatt; daughter Emily; grandchildren Paisley and CJ; sister Stacy Taylor (Mike); nephews Cody, Tony and Dravyn.

Arrangements are under the care and supervision of the Jones Family Funeral Centre, 70 Church Street, Amherst (902-667-8777). Cremation has taken place. There will be gathering at a later date at his favourite spot, his camp.

Memorial contributions in Mark’s memory may be made to Alzheimer's Association.
