It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Peter Edward Reid, 54, of Springhill, NS formerly of Joggins, NS. Peter passed away on Monday, February 27, 2023 at Highcrest Nursing Home with his sister and wife by his side.

Born in Amherst, Peter was a son of Roy "Pete" and the late Marilyn (Dobson) Reid.

Peter will be dearly missed by his father Roy "Pete" and mother Bernedette; wife Marjorie and her daughter Ashley; sisters Ann and Doreen; brother Paul; Aunt Terry and several nieces and nephews.  

Peter always looked forward to his daily talks and Tim's coffee with his sister Ann.  

Peter's family would like to thank Highcrest Nursing Home in Springhill for the great care he received from nurses and staff during his 10 years living there.  He made a lot of great friends.  We also would like to give a special thank you to Carla for always bringing a smile to Peter's face and the Tim's of course.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Jones Family Funeral Centre, 70 Church St., Amherst, NS, (902-667-8777), where cremation has taken place.  A graveside service will take place in the spring in the River Hebert Cemetery with his mother Marilyn.

Donations in memory of Peter may be made to Highcrest Nursing Home, or the charity of your choice.
