It is with sadness we announce the
passing of Bernice Alvena St.Peter, age
88 of Amherst. Bernice passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at
Gables Lodge.
Born in Maccan, she was a daughter of
the late James and Margaret (Collins) Hurley and a widow of the late
Edward St. Peter.
Bernice had worked at the Bank of Nova
Scotia in Amherst and River Hebert for over 18 years. She
was a deeply devoted mother, grandmother, great and great great
grandmother who loved spending time with her
family.
She will be dearly missed by four
children; Paul (Wanda) St. Peter, Brookdale, Donnie (Bev) St. Peter,
Amherst, Donna (Jerry) White, Maccan, and Patti St. Peter, Maccan; and
daughter in law Helen St.Peter and several grandchildren, a great
grandson and a great-great grandson; a brother, Des Hurley, Maccan, as
well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased
by her husband, Edward in 1976; her son Michael in 2010; her twin
sister, Mary, as well as her brothers, Laurie, Ernest, Bill and Edwin,
and her sisters in law, Margaret Hurley, Joanne Hurley and Elsie
Hurley.
Arrangements have been entrusted into
the care and guidance of the Jones Family Funeral
Centre, 70 Church St., Amherst, NS (902-667-8777).
Honouring Bernice's wishes, cremation has taken place and
there is to be no funeral service. A time of public
visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, January 8, 2023
from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Interment will take place in the Maccan
Cemetery in the spring.

Society.
