It is with sadness we announce the passing of Hazen Harvey Gray, age 78, of Amherst.  Hazen passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre.

Born in Pugwash, he was a son of the late Harold and Bertha (Stevens) Gray.

Hazen enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing.  He liked to travel, especially car trips to Tatamagouche, and PEI.  He enjoyed the company of his cat Smokey for 17 years.  He always looked forward to time spent with his family, especially his granddaughter Bambreigh.

He will be dearly missed by his wife Jean, Amherst; children Cindy Gray (Bryan Porter), Warren, NS and Todd, Fenwick, NS; granddaughter Bambreigh Porter (Dave), Halifax; sister Viola (Wayne) Betts, Alberta; brother in law Ray Coulson, Amherst, husband of Hazen's late sister Rachel.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Jones Family Funeral Centre, Amherst, NS, (902 667 8777).  In keeping with Hazen's wishes, there will be no visitation or service.

Donations in memory of Hazen may be made to the Cumberland VON, or the charity of your choice.
