She enjoyed the simplicity and the comfort that home brought and loved sharing a cup of coffee with those who came to visit. Many afternoons and evenings were spent crafting around the kitchen table with her sisters. She was blessed with two grandchildren, Emily and Evan, who were her world. The love that Karen had for her family was indescribable.Karen was beautiful, inside and out, and filled anyone in her presence with joy from her playful nature.

In addition to her mother, Karen will be dearly missed by her husband Douglas, Stanley, NS, son Jason (Laura), Riverview, 2 grandchildren, Emily and Evan, siblings Stephen (Pam), Amherst, NS, Holly (David) Burke, Fort Lawrence, NS, Nancy (Bobby) Collins, Amherst, NS,  special niece, Nicole Burke, Fort Lawrence, NS, as well as many loved nieces and nephews.
