It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ina Marie Bowser, age 92, of Amherst, NS. Ina passed away on April 29, 2022 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre.

Born in Amherst, NS, she was a daughter of the late Rex and Evelyn (Hughes) Pettis.

Along with and after raising her four children, Ina spent her lifetime  volunteering in her community. Active in many groups over the years, most notably the UCW and IODE, she was always ready to give of her time and lead the charge when called upon. She shared with us her love of food and cooking and used those skills often while helping others.

Ina will be dearly missed by her four children, Kathy, Jane, Anne and Gordon, her grand children and great grand children.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased her husband Gordon Keith Bowser.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Jones Family Funeral Centre, 70 Church St, Amherst, NS (902-667-8777). Cremation has taken place and a memorial service in Amherst will take place at a later date.

Donations in memory of Ina may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia.
