It is with sadness we announce the
passing of Charles Alec Fraser Goodwin,
age 90, of Lorneville, NS. Fraser passed away on Saturday,
January 15, 2022 at All Saints Hospital, Springhill,
NS.
Born in Lorneville, NS, he was a son of
the late Victor and Emelyn (Chapman) Goodwin.
Fraser was a soft spoken, caring,
helpful, dedicated family man and friend. He had
many hobbies and projects always on the go; woodworking,
gardening, and rebuilding antique cars to name a
few.
He loved cars, especially his antique
cars. He worked at Lounsbury Company Limited in
Moncton for 41 years.
In his younger years he was on the board
of the VON, an active church board member, and leader of Boy Scouts.
He was a faithful visitor to his friends and family.
In his retirement years Fraser and Arleen remodeled the
Stuart homestead and operated the ‘Chat and Chew’
Bed and Breakfast together. They enjoyed guests from all
over the world. They enjoyed traveling, and winters spent down south
were a welcome time with family and friends.
He will be dearly missed by his wife

NS; 10 grandchildren, Julie (Mike) Gaudet, Moncton, NB, Andrea (Ryan)

(Barry Watson), Saint John, NB, Shawn (Robyn) Tanner, Amherst, NS,
Kimberly Tanner (Alysha Manderson), Fredericton, NB, Patrick (Amy)
Snider, Dartmouth, NS, Shamus Snider, Dartmouth, NS, Laurie-Anne (Tim)
Dine, Fredericton, NB and Liam Snider, Dartmouth, NS; 9 great
grandchildren; siblings Martha (Dick) Lowe, Amherst, NS and Arthur
(Charlotte), Fredericton, NB; several nieces and
nephews.
He was predeceased by son Michael, as
well as siblings Olive Allen, Robert Goodwin, and Ruth
Hicks.
Arrangements are under the care and
supervision of the Jones Family Funeral
Centre, 70 Church Street, Amherst, NS (902-667-8777)
where visitation will take place on Saturday, August 13, 2022 from 1
pm until 3 pm, followed immediately at 3 pm with his funeral service
at 3 pm. All are invited to stay for a reception after the
funeral service. The family has requested that
Masks be worn.

United Church, Parkinsons Society, or the charity of your
choice.
