It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Dorothy Ann Doiron, age 78, of Parrsboro, NS. Dorothy passed away on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at home with family by her side.

Born in Parrsboro, she was a daughter of the late Herbert and Rhoda (Phinney) Blenkhorn.

Dorothy was a long time member of the ladies auxiliary for the Legion and Anglican Church.  She loved to volunteer for many organizations. You could always see her on the street selling hotdogs for the various charities. 

She will be dearly missed by her husband Yvon; children Janet (Arnold) Wood of Parrsboro, Rosie Doiron of Parrsboro and Drew (Sidney-Lindsey) Doiron of Parrsboro; grandchildren Stevely Wood, Bradly Wood, Jonathan Wood, Kevin Wood, Allie Moore, Max Willigar, Nova Doiron and Nash Doiron; great-grandchildern Colin Wood, Caden Wood, Ruby Wood and Jayce Moore; siblings, Richard (Sheila) Blenkhorn of Grand Bay, Jacque (David) Crossman of Mississauga, Shane Taylor of Parrsboro, Theresa (Perry) Colpitts of Parrsboro, Lynda Gallagher of Caledonia, ON, Stanford (Wendy) Blenkhorn of Parrsboro, Rory (Janice) Blenkhorn of Parrsboro; brother in law Merton Kay of Parrsboro as well as several nieces and nephews. 

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by twin sister Doreen Kay, sister Carol Ellis and sister Rosie Blenkhorn.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Jones Family Funeral Centre, Amherst, NS, (902 667 8777) A public funeral service will be held on Friday, November 19th at 11am at the St. George's Anglican Church in Parrsboro. As per government regulations, proof of double vaccination and a valid government issued ID will be required to attend.

Donations in memory of Dorothy may be made to Von or charity of choice.
