It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Elizabeth Mae McLaughlin, age 74, of Amherst, NS. Elizabeth passed away at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre on Friday, October 01, 2021.

Born in Five Islands, NS, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Jean (MacNeil) Eagles.

Betty was an avid bowler and enjoyed a game or two at Dooly's when she was able.  She was a devoted mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed.  Betty really admired her grandchildren who meant the world to her.

Betty will be missed by, her daughter, Sherry (Duane Black) McLaughlin, Amherst; her four sons, Robert McLaughlin, Amherst, Kenneth McLaughlin, Ontario, Chris (Lisa) O'Regan, Amherst, and Kevin O'Regan, Amherst; several grandchildren, and a brother, James (Maryann) Eagles, of Ontario. 

Besides her parents, Betty was predeceased by her brother John Eagles.

Arrangements are under the care and guidance of Jones Family Funeral Centre, 70 Church Street, Amherst (902-667-8777). Honouring Betty's wishes, there is to be no visitation or funeral services at this time.
