It is with sadness we announce the sudden passing of James "Jim" H. LeBlanc Sr., age 82, of Strathcona, NS.  Jim passed away unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, July 21, 2021.

Born in River Hebert, NS, he was a son of the late Wilfred and Hilda (McEachern) LeBlanc.

Jim was a family man, a great husband, father, grandfather.  He was past president of the River Hebert Royal Canadian Legion.  An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed time in the woods hunting and fishing.  A very hard working man, he worked a variety of vocations throughout his life, retiring from forestry.

Jim will be dearly missed by his wife Ruth of Strathcona; children David (Tracey), River Hebert, NS, Beverly Brown (John McKinnon), Amherst, NS, and James Jr. (Andrea Deazley), Amherst, NS; 4 grandchildren Natalie, Danielle, Jonah and Hannah; siblings Marion (Reg) Daborn, Helen Richards, Fred LeBlanc, Wilma (Jim) Quinn, Bernard (Carmone) LeBlanc, Iva Fowler, Paul (Cheryl) LeBlanc, Perry LeBlanc.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by siblings Donna Cormier, Myrtle O'Brien, Lester and Douglas LeBlanc. 

Arrangements have been entrusted into the care of the Jones Family Funeral Centre, Amherst, NS (902-667-8777).  A Celebration of Life will be held at the River Hebert Royal Canadian Legion at a later date.
