It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Carolyn A. Seaman, age 70, of Amherst, NS.  Carolyn passed away at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre on Monday, July 19, 2021.

Born in Springhill, NS, she was a daughter of the late Douglas and Phyllis (Reid) MacLeod.

A country girl at heart, Carolyn grew up on her family farm in Rockley, NS.  She retired a few years ago, enjoying her time gardening, spending time with her grandson Jaiken, attending yard sales, and enjoying the Soaps on television.  She was an active volunteer at Trinity St. Stephen United Church, past secretary of the UCW.

She will be sadly missed by her children Brian (Dawn), Dieppe, NB; Kellie Seaman, Amherst, NS; grandson Jaiken; mother in law Blanche Seaman, Springhill, NS; sister Sandy Burke, Amherst, NS; sister in law Sheila MacLeod, Debert, NS; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Tom; siblings Wayne MacLeod and Joan Legere; brother in law Harold Burke.

Arrangements have been entrusted into the care of the Jones Family Funeral Centre, Amherst, NS (902-667-8777) where an Afternoon of Remembrance will be held on Friday, July 23, 2021 from 2 to 4 pm, followed immediately by the burial of both Tom and Carolyn in the Rockley Cemetery.

Those wishing to make a donation may do so to the Breast Cancer Society, the Cumberland VON, or the CRHCC Palliative Care.

Carolyn's family want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the nurses and staff of the VON and the Cumberland Palliative Care, especially Amy who always went out of her way to help.
