It is with deep sadness that we announce
the peaceful passing of Carolyn A.
Seaman, age 70, of Amherst, NS. Carolyn
passed away at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre on Monday,
July 19, 2021.
Born in Springhill, NS, she was
a daughter of the late Douglas and Phyllis (Reid)
MacLeod.
A country girl at heart, Carolyn grew up
on her family farm in Rockley, NS. She retired a few years
ago, enjoying her time gardening, spending time with her grandson
Jaiken, attending yard sales, and enjoying the Soaps on
television. She was an active volunteer at Trinity St.
Stephen United Church, past secretary of the UCW.
She will be sadly missed by her children
Brian (Dawn), Dieppe, NB; Kellie Seaman, Amherst, NS; grandson Jaiken;
mother in law Blanche Seaman, Springhill, NS; sister Sandy Burke,
Amherst, NS; sister in law Sheila MacLeod, Debert, NS; several nieces
and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was
predeceased by her husband Tom; siblings Wayne MacLeod and Joan
Legere; brother in law Harold Burke.
Arrangements have been entrusted into
the care of the Jones Family Funeral
Centre, Amherst, NS (902-667-8777) where an Afternoon
of Remembrance will be held on Friday, July 23, 2021 from 2 to 4 pm,
followed immediately by the burial of both Tom and Carolyn in the
Rockley Cemetery.
Those wishing to make a donation may do
so to the Breast Cancer Society, the Cumberland VON, or the CRHCC
Palliative Care.
Carolyn's family want to extend a
heartfelt thank you to the nurses and staff of the VON and the
Cumberland Palliative Care, especially Amy who always went out of her
way to help.
