It is with deep sadness that we announce that Shirley Ann Estabrooks, 82, of Amherst, NS, and formerly of Sackville, NB, lost her battle with cancer and died peacefully at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre on Sunday, April 18, 2021. Shirley was a daughter of the late Henry and Evelyn (Jones) Trewin.She started her secretarial career with Eaton’s in Moncton and later with the Government of Nova Scotia up until her retirement.

Shirley was a world traveler with her husband Bob.  She enjoyed dancing, gardening, attending local festivals and touring with their vehicles throughout Canada and the US. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother who loved her grandchildren dearly.

Shirley will be sadly missed by her husband Robert Conrad Estabrooks, Amherst; her daughters Heather (Dietmar) Zschogner, Parrsboro and Shawn (Mark) Canton, Parrsboro; her grandchildren Karli Zschogner and Owen Canton; her brother Ron (Claudette) Trewin; her sisters-in-law, Joyce O'Neill, and Linda (Miller) Morrell, as well as her nephews Shane and Brent Trewin.

Arrangements are under the care and supervision of the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville, NB, (506-364-1300) where visiting hours will be held on Sunday, July 18, 2021 from 1pm until 2 pm, followed immediately at 2 pm by her funeral service, K. Ruth Gamble, DLM, officiating. Interment will take place in the Sackville Cemetery.  The funeral will be available to watch online by Livestream by visiting her obituary on the funeral home website.  

Preregistration is required, please call or e-mail the funeral home to do so.  Masks are required and all are asked to adhere to Covid-19 regulations.

Donations in memory of Shirley may be made to the VON, the Cumberland Hospice, or a charity of the donor's choice.
