It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Alan Joseph Gaudet, age 64, of Chignecto, NS.  Alan passed away on Thursday, June 17, 2021, at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Center after a battle with cancer.

Born in Amherst, NS, he was a son of the late Luke and Inez (Landry) Gaudet.

Alan loved spending time in the outdoors and was an avid hunter.  He loved his animals and enjoyed his Shanty Farm.  He even tinkered at making his own Maple Syrup. A very musical man, he enjoyed playing guitar, harmonica and piano.

He is survived by his son, Donovan of Dartmouth; grandchildren Addison Gaudet and Mason Gaudet; great granddaughter Everly Rose Gaudet; brother Peter (Lorraine) Gaudet, Amherst, NS; sister Carolyn (Michael) Bowers, Ontario.

He was predeceased by his wife Valerie and brother Roger Gaudet.

Arrangements are under the care and supervision of Jones Family Funeral Centre, 70 Church Street, Amherst (902-667-8777).  A family graveside service will be held at the Lorneville Cemetery.
