It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Allison Earl Ripley, age 78, of Truemanville, NS. Allison passed away peacefully at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre on Thursday, November 26, 2020.
Born in Truemanville, NS, he was a son of the late Allison and Weslean (Goodwin) Ripley.
Allison was an avid hunter, spending as much time as he was able in the woods. He enjoyed dancing, and time out with friends.
He will be dearly missed by his daughter Rosella Rogerson (Bill), Truemanville, NS; siblings, Robert Ripley, Nobleton, Ont., Melborne Ripley, Amherst, Albion Ripley (Joy), Mary Mac, Marjorie Brown, all of Truemanville, Flora Casey (Fred), Amherst, Sarah Arsenault (Fred), Truemanville, Janey Arsenault, Helena Brine (David), both of Amherst, Barbara Hope (Bruce), Georgetown, Ont.; sister’s-in-law, Bernice Ripley, Keswick Ridge, N.B., Rose Ripley, Amherst; brother's-in-law, Leonard Goodwin, Truemanville, NS and Lloyd Goodwin, Baie Verte, NB; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Shirley (Goodwin) Ripley; siblings, Melvin Ripley, Elda Leadbetter, William Ripley, Joseph Ripley, Coates Ripley; sisters in law Gloria Goodwin and Doris Ripley; brother-in-law, Pat Arsenault.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Jones Family Funeral Centre, 70 Church St., Amherst, NS (902-667-8777) where an Afternoon of Remembrance will be held on Monday, November 30, 2020 from 2 to 4 pm, with special words shared at 3:00 pm. These words will be Live Streamed at 4:30 pm and can be viewed by visiting Allison's obituary on www.jonesfamilyfuneralcentre.ca. Please wear a mask and respect social distancing while visiting.
