It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden and tragic passing of Jacob Ryan Dowe, 30, of Amherst, NS.  Jake passed away at his home on Wednesday, October 21, 2020.

Jake was an extremely talented and passionate musician, avid songwriter, skateboarder and movie fan.  His love for music touched everyone around him.  Those who knew Jake loved his knowledge and humour.  His quick wit and conversational skills attracted people to him. 

Jake was devoted to his family.  He never said goodbye without adding "I love you."

He will be dearly missed by his mother, Elizabeth Saulnier, Dieppe; his stepfather, Troy Dowe, Halifax; his siblings, Courtney Dowe, Dieppe, Brandon (Ashley Hamel) Dowe, Parrsboro; a nephew, Nathan; as well as many dear friends.

Arrangements are under the care and guidance of the Jones Family Funeral Centre, 70 Church Street, Amherst (902-667-8777).  Cremation has taken place.  An afternoon of remembrance will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, October 25, 2020 from 2-4 pm. As Jake was so passionate about music, an area will be designated with an open mic for those who would like to bring an instrument and play in his memory or share a story.  All are welcome to attend.  Please bring your masks and respect Covid-19 social distancing guidelines.
