It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Dorothy Marie MacGlashen, age 89, of Tidnish Bridge, NS.  Marie passed away peacefully at home, on Tuesday, August 25, 2020, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Dorchester, Massachusetts, USA, she was the daughter of the late Garnet and Freda (White) Mason.

Family was most important to Marie.  She was involved with her church and was a woman of strong Faith.  Marie served her community in any way she could, through any event taking place.  Marie lived her life to serve others.

She will be dearly missed by her three sons Garnet, Steve (Eleanor), and Eric (Jeannie); four grandchildren Billie Dawn, Jay (Jill), Erika (Terry), and Jody; five great grandchildren Jonah, Logan, Noah, Aiden and Hannah; siblings George (Naureen), Ernie (Cavell), Linda (Owen) Letcher; sister-in-law Dinah Moir Fillmore.

In addition to her parents, Marie was predeceased by her husband Bill MacGlashen; sister Firth Sauveur; brothers Bob and Roy Fillmore and John Mason; nephews Bryan and Wade MacIntyre and David Mason.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Jones Family Funeral Centre, 70 Church St., Amherst, NS (902-667-8777) where Marie's Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 28, 2020 at 6 pm.  Internment will follow in the Riverside Cemetery, Tidnish Bridge, NS.  In keeping with COVID-19 restrictions, please wear a mask within the funeral home and respect social distancing.  As spacing is limited, preregistration is required by calling 902-667-8777.

Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, or the Riverside Cemetery.
