Erin Bowden, 36 years of age, of East Amherst, passed away on Wednesday, November 7, 2018. Born in Amherst, she was the daughter of Colette (Comeau) Carter of Amherst and the late Douglas Carter.

Erin loved her husband and her children were her pride and joy. She had an eye for detail and was excellent at repurposing; turning a door into a table, a cabinet into a chalk board. She turned her house into a home. Erin enjoyed spending time at her happy places, the beach and the camp.

Besides her mother, Erin will be sadly missed by her husband, Nick, daughter, Madelynn Carter of Amherst; sons, Carter Cormier of Amherst, Greyson Bowden of Amherst; sister Brianne Carter ( Todd Young) of Sudbury , ON, Maura Stamler ( Bretton) of Calgary, AB and many aunts ,uncles and cousins.

Arrangements are under the direction and care of Furlong-Jones Funeral Home, 70 Church St., Amherst, NS (902-667-8777). No visitation by request. A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 12, 2018 at 2 p.m.

No Flowers by request. Should friends desire, donations may be made to Cumberland Mental Health or charity of choice.
