Donald Irvin
Boss, 82, of Wentworth, Cumberland County, Nova Scotia,
formerly of Fort Lawrence, died January 30th, 2018 suddenly at
home.
Born in Springhill, Nova Scotia, he was
the son of the late Earl and Vina (Cormier) Boss.
A retired business man, he owned and
operated many businesses over his professional career, including
Galaxy Communications where he was the first owner and distributor of
large Satellite dishes. After many years as a car salesman
he started Superior Motors Used Cars which operated for many years. He
was also an owner of Amherst Import Auto (Home of the Pony) from 1985
- 1988. His final endeavour was owner and operator of the Tire Shack
on La Planche St, Fort Lawrence before his retirement. Don enjoyed
hunting and fishing and a good game of cards, during his time at the
camp and during his spare time.
Surviving are his partner and longtime
companion Margaret Beal, son Kevin (Betty Ann) Boss, granddaughter
Kirsten Landry (Ruth MacDonald), great granddaughter Journey
Willow.
Don's remains have been entrusted
to Furlong~Jones Funeral Home,
70 Church St., Amherst, N.S. (902-667-8777) for cremation.
As per his request there will be no visitation or
service.
Any donations in his memory may be made
to the L.A. Animal Shelter as he loved his pets dearly, or the charity
of your choice.
