Jack Wheeler,  72 years of age, of Amherst, passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2020. Born in North Carolina,  he was a son of the late Johnny & Irene (Arnold) Wheeler.

Jack loved fishing, especially deep sea fishing. He enjoyed spending time at the beach with his family.   In his younger years, Jack worked as an auditor for Kay Jewellers  and as a Construction Superintendent in North Carolina. He worked at Angus Whole Sale and Scotsburn Dairy in Amherst until his retirement.

Jack will be sadly missed by his wife, Jocelyn, sons, Jon (Lyndsey Miller) , James both of Maui, grandchildren, Mavrick & Evan; sisters, Barbara Pierce of Raleigh, North Carolina, Kathy Matthews of Florida; several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Jim Knot.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Jones Family Funeral Centre, 70 Church St., Amherst, NS (902-667-8777). No visitation or service by request.
