It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of James "Jimmy" Waldo Murphy one day after his 78th birthday, on Thursday, October 3, 2019.

Born in Joggins, NS, he was a son of the late Eldon and Hazel (Grant) Murphy.

Jimmy had a great passion for horses and for anything "Charlie Brown".  He loved the outdoors, hunting, or just spending time in the woods.  He loved Western movies and playing cards with his sisters and niece Tracy on Sunday.  He enjoyed all animals, especially his dog Cole.

He will be dearly missed by his siblings, Joan (Murray) Melanson, Lakeville, NB, Gordon (Jeanette), Joggins, NS, Evelyn (Wayne) Patterson, Joggins, NS, Doug, Ottawa, ON; several nieces and nephews, and his many special friends.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Gary.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Jones Family Funeral Centre, 70 Church St., Amherst, NS (902-667-8777) where visiting hours will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2019 from noon until 2 pm, followed immediately after by his funeral service at 2 pm, Life Celebrant Scott Balser officiating.  Burial will follow in the River Hebert Cemetery.
