It is with sadness we announce the passing of Donald William Logan (age 86) on September 11, 2019, at the Cumberland Regional Health Centre.

Born in Amherst Point, NS, he was a son of the late Austin and Ethel (Clark) Logan.

He lived his entire life in Amherst Point where he owned and operated "Homestead Farm" with his son Stephen.  As a lifetime member of Holstein Canada, Don was passionate about farming and considered it to be an overall way of life from which he never retired.

He will be dearly missed by his wife of 29 years, Marie (Copp); son Stephen (Myrna), Amherst Point; daughters Marney (Wade) MacKinnon, Mermaid, PEI, and Melanie (Glenn) Rogers, Summerside, PEI; step daughter Susan (Bill) MacDonald, Nappan.  Lovingly remembered by brothers Gordon (June), Keswick, ON, and Malcolm (Marilyn), West Amherst; sister Ruth Logan, Malagash.  He was a loving Papa to grandchildren Kourtney, Chantzlyn and Seth Logan; Kayla and Joel MacRae, and Morgan and Meredith Rogers; step grandchildren John MacDonald (Moira Allen) and Sara (Devin) Duguay; great granddaughter Violet; and 6 step great grandchildren.  

Don was predeceased by his first wife Kay (Moore) and step grandson Derrick MacDonald.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Family Funeral Centre, 70 Church St., Amherst, NS (902-667-8777) where visiting hours will be held on Friday, September 13, 2019 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm.  Don's funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at 11 am from First Baptist Church, Rev. Dr. Dan Green officiating.  Burial will follow in the Amherst Cemetery, after which all are invited to a reception in the Church hall.
