It is with sadness we announce the passing of Patricia Jane "Pat" Cottenden, age 87, of Amherst Head.  Pat passed away at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre on Wednesday, June 26, 2019.

Born in Bass River, NS, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Henrietta (Carde) Williams.  

Pat was a loving mother and wife, always very dedicated to her family.  She was an active church attendant at Amherst Head United Church, then at Trinity United in Amherst.  She was a great hugger, sharing her love with everyone she met.

She will be dearly missed by her children Mike, Lakeville, NB, Ted, Amherst, Gordon (Brenda), Truemanville, Betty (Robert) Stull, Dartmouth, NS and Barbara (Michael) Collins, Fenwick, NS; grandchildren, Vanessa, Cody, Robbie, Sarah, Adam, Amanda, Hailey, and Jesse; and several loving great grandchildren;  siblings Stanley Williams, Amherst, Alfred Williams, Ontario, Pauline John, Truro, and Elizabeth McInnis, Kentville.

She was predeceased by her husband Ron Cottenden; son Timothy, daughter in law Barbara Ann; siblings Paul, Jimmy, Roy, Robert, David, John, Cecil, and Ruth Ettinger.

Arrangements are under the care and guidance of the Jones Family Funeral Centre, 70 Church St., Amherst, NS (902-667-8777) where the family will receive visitors on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 from 1 to 2  pm, followed immediately at 2 pm with her funeral service.  Burial will take place in the Amherst Cemetery.
