It is with sadness that we announce the
passing of John Patrick "Pat"
Arsenault, age 76, of Amherst. Pat passed
away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at Gables Lodge
surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Minto, NB, he was a son of the
late Amide and Alice (Carr) Arsenault.
Pat worked at Robb's Engineering for
over 26 years, retiring in 1999. He was a great friend to
his co-workers, playing cards with them on Friday nights. He
was well known for his woodworking, and enjoyed sharing his creations
with friends and family. He loved his time in the woods,
hunting and fishing. He and Janey enjoyed drives around the
Cumberland country side; and loved dancing together. He was
great at telling jokes and enjoyed spending time with his family,
especially watching his girls play ball at the field. Storey
time with his great grandchildren.
He will be dearly missed by his wife,
Janey (Ripley) Arsenault, Amherst. His daughter Karen
Arsenault (Scott Hachey), Lynn Mountain, NS. Pat enjoyed
hearing stories about her horses and spending time with her family
pets. His daughter Kimberley Arsenault (Perry Mills), River
Hebert, NS, and their child Noah Mills. His daughter Kathy
Pawlett (Keith), Amherst, NS, and her children Daniel and his spouse
Autumn (their children Jayce and Marshall), Andrea and Jewel Pawlett.
His daughter Katrina (Dellas) Pettigrew, Amherst, NS, her children
Keshia Arsenault and her partner Jeff (her child Kyrah), and Kody
Arsenault (his son Jackson) and her step-son Josh Pettigrew; siblings
Marjorie Clark, Moncton, NB, Jeannette Laurette, Moncton, NB and Frank
(Arlene) Arsenault, Amherst, NS; and many nieces and
nephews.
He is predeceased by his sister Mary
Holmes.
Arrangements are under the care and
supervision of the Jones Family Funeral
Centre, 70 Church Street, Amherst (902-667-8777) where
cremation has taken place. A private family gathering will
take place at a later date.
